Why Orientra exists.
Two beliefs, both of which came from doing this work rather than from studying the market.
The idea underneath
Orientra was built around a simple idea: the systems that run the work and the systems that protect the work can remain independent while sharing enough context to make both better.
Field service platforms schedule and bill the work. Safety platforms manage the paperwork about the work. Neither of them knows they are describing the same event — and the cost of that gap is paid by the technician, who ends up entering the same job twice into two systems that never speak.
Orientra closes that gap without forcing the two into one workflow, because a product that puts a safety gate in front of every filter change teaches people to work around it.
How we build it
Safety first, obstruction never
Safety surrounds the work; it does not obstruct it. A technician sees the requirements for the job in front of them, not the whole programme.
Configuration, not consulting
If a competent administrator cannot do it themselves, we treat that as a defect in the product rather than an opportunity to sell hours.
Built for the field
Tested on a phone while it is being built, not in a responsive pass at the end. The person in the mechanical room is a primary user.
Honest measurement
Every figure states what it measures. Where the underlying record is incomplete, Orientra says so beside the number rather than dressing a gap up as a percentage.
Where we are
Orientra is built in Winnipeg, Manitoba, against the compliance instrument Manitoba employers are actually audited on.
We are early, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. What that means in practice: you will talk to the people building the product, the roadmap is genuinely influenced by what early customers need, and we will not quote you an implementation timeline or a customer count we cannot substantiate.
What you will not find on this site: invented customer numbers, testimonials from people who do not exist, retention statistics, or a claim that we will have you live in a specific number of weeks.
Every one of those is standard in this category, and every one of them is a thing you would eventually find out was not true.
Talk to the people building it.
No qualification gauntlet, no drip campaign. A conversation about whether this fits what you do.
